Qualifications: A graduate degree in any discipline with minimum 65% marks. Should have qualified Mathematics & Physics at 10+2 level.

Physical Standards: (a) Height and Weight. Minimum height 162.5 cms with correlated weight, leg length, sitting height and thigh length. (b) Eye Sight. The minimum acceptable vision standard for distant vision 6/6, 6/9 correctable to 6/6, 6/6. Should not be colour/night blind.

Age Limit: 19 to 23 years born between 02 Jul 1988 and 01 Jul 1992; both dates inclusive.

Indonesia’s most active volcano which claimed at least 36 lives last week has spewed more searing clouds of gas and ash, triggering fresh panic among locals

An official at the volcanology office in the central Java city of Yogyakarta, said that “heat clouds and ash are streaming down from the mouth of Mount Merapi” on Sunday afternoon.
Dozens of terrified residents fled Umbulharjo village, 12 kilometres from the peak, on motorcycles and cars. Hundreds of locals had fled in panic when the volcano erupted violently early Saturday, sparking chaos as people tried to scramble to safety, fearful of a repeat of last week’s deadly eruptions

The 2,914-metre Mount Merapi, which means Mountain of Fire, is the most active of the 69 volcanoes with histories of eruptions in Indonesia.
